Our lead dentist, Dr Ahmed Elsheek was initially drawn to dentistry after an unpleasant experience as a child, which made him think that a dental visit should be an enjoyable experience.
Ahmed moved to Australia in 2010, and now calls Brunswick home. He brings 16 years of experience to Lotus Dental and has practiced general with the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne, Royal Flying Doctors Services and multiple private dental practices in Queensland and Victoria.
After completing his Masters with Bii Institute (Sydney) and oral surgery clinic training with The Royal College of Dental Surgeons (Edinburgh), Ahmed also offers his expertise in Oral Surgery and Dental Implants. With around 10,000 wisdom teeth surgeries under his belt, you can be confident you are in safe hands!
Ahmed is a member of the Australian Dental Association and the International Association of Dental Implantologists.
Outside of work, Ahmed enjoys entertaining baby Rumi and Oreo the cat. Whenever he finds the time, he can be found reading, growing his balcony cactus collection, or baking sugar-free treats which he tries to burn off with a jog along Merri Creek.
